Andy Davey Caricaturist
Andy Davey was born in London. His dark years as a research chemist remain obscure, but after winning a cartoon competition in 1994, called “Back to Basics” with the heinously difficult brief of poking fun at the then Prime Minister John Major, he emerged into the sunlit world of cartoons. Since then he has had cartoons published in various UK and European newspapers and magazines - The Guardian, The Times, The Independent on Sunday, The Sunday Telegraph, The Scotsman, Private Eye, Punch, The Spectator, Prospect, Squib, E! Sharp and The New Statesman. He also worked on the satirical TV cartoon series 2DTV. Andy lives in Cambridge and works as a full time cartoonist and caricaturist.
