He has recently finished a sell-out run of public shows at London's Barons Court Theatre, smashing the venue's seventeen year box office record in the process.

Doug was chosen by the BBC to “see in” the New Year with Claire Balding and Natasha Kaplinski, performing live to 7.5 million viewers on the BBC ONE New Years Live Show. No other performer in this field has been seen by such a large television audience in the last 20 years.
